What You'll Really Love in Knightdale

Tons of Events

From movie nights during every season (except winter, of course) to holiday celebrations, Knightdale's small community knows how to stay busy. The biggest happenings that you won't want to miss include the Fourth of July celebration—when Knightdale Station Park is filled with live music, food, and fireworks—and Christmas on First Avenue—the annual tree lighting ceremony, complete with holiday music and visits from Santa and the elves.

Stunning Outdoor Recreation

One of the most popular spots in Knightdale has to be the Knightdale Station Park—and it's easy to see why. The park features a playground, miles of paved walking trails, a dog park, several athletic fields, and an amphitheater. For more outdoor adventures, the Knightdale Environmental Education Park has a short walking trail and scenic outlooks, and the Mingo Creek Park has a longer trail system that connects to Raleigh's Greenway.

Local Shopping & Dining

If you want to get a little grocery shopping done and support local businesses, the Knightdale Farmers' Market is the perfect spot. Located in the Knightdale Station Park, the market happens every Saturday night seasonally and regularly features things like food trucks, live music, and demonstrations. If you're looking for a bite to eat afterwards, we recommend trying El Senor, the New York Diner, or A'nets Katch—all local favorites!

Top-Ranked Public Schools

Knightdale is served by the Wake County Public School System, which has a strong reputation for challenging academics and a wide variety of extracurricular activities. Although the district serves over 160,000 students total, the six schools in Knightdale enjoy much smaller class sizes. For parents who are interested in sending their kids to private or charter schools, there are a number of options in the community, as well.
